Small bottle with fire hose spray

Love this product and really accelerates the scent of my overall perfume that I also apply. BUT: why is this called “perfume” and sold in a small bottle, but the sprayer ejects an obscene amount of product as if it were a body spray cologne in a much bigger bottle? I’ve started taking off the sprayer and dabbing with my finger so I don’t go through the entire bottle in 2 weeks.
