Bought these to go with a costume for a rave. They stayed up! Needed a little adjusting here & there, but didn't need any fabric tape or garter. The only thing I will say is that it's softer fabric than what the photo portrays, so it won't be as smooth or flat & it'll fold over itself if not placed properly around your thighs. That's really the only reason I had to adjust these throughout the night.
