Gorgeous, but pewter leaves marks, be careful!

This is a really sweet design. Unfortunately, it's cast in pewter. Pewter will leave a grey, pencil-like mark if you touch it to a surface. So, this isn't really fit for purpose as a yad for reading Torah. It's a lovely piece of Judaica for display though.
