Great for downtime on rounds

This book might be too advanced if you don't already have a good foundation. I sometimes have trouble reading it, but it's good for at least priming my brain for when I look things up more elsewhere. Fits nicely in my white coat and is great for situations where you're not sure if you can look in your phone.

Great resource for trainees

Current medical student, and this book has been fantastic when I am on call shifts with orthopedic surgery residents. I can quickly reference details prior to and after seeing patients with the team. It is also very helpful to have a book to sift through during down time, rather than using my phone. My main critique would be that diagrams or pictures would significantly improve some of the explanations as well as make them more memorable. For now, I would just recommend adding in your own annotated into the margins!
