Only a sewn band and found they didn't stay up even going down a size. Probably a knitted band might help them stay up. Used for nighttime warmth for meniscus tear and cramping. I hitched them up when they slipped overnight.

Warm at Night

I bought these leg warmers because I am a Line Dancer and having pain in one knee, as well as cramping in my calves. My physio suggested keeping my knee warm. Although I cannot use them dancing because I bought the largest size (which fit loosely), I am wearing them at night while I sleep and so far the results have been good. I have reduced knee pain and have not had the discomfort of cramps while wearing them. The fabric is light and soft and not at all itchy (and I am usually sensitive to wool).
