Small soft fan brush, perfect for creating the effect of grasses and reeds. I've also used it for spattering. My only gripe is that a few of the bristles were bent outwards on arrival and are still slightly bent. In a store I would have picked a brush in perfect condition, but with mail-order it is not possible and I needed the brush in a hurry.
