Silver Shadow Mini Hiking Umbrella

Looks good so far.

I just received this umbrella and it looks exactly right. Metalized coloring without being plastic. Light weight and appears to be durable enough to stand up to the use on a several week trip if given some level of care. Will know more after the big trip.

Lightweight and easy grip

My dermatologist will be happy that I am using the Six Moons umbrella! Learning about it through NYT Wirecutter and as our summers seem to be getting warmer, I invested in this sun umbrella to protect me. I was surprised by how light yet sturdy it is and though I am no longer a hiker, this will protect me and keep me cooler.

Didn’t work for me

The umbrella is well built and probably does a good job of protecting from the sun, but I need to use both hiking poles nearly all of the time. I couldn’t get the “hands free” system to work, as I couldn’t get the umbrella positioned correctly. Most folks that I see using an umbrella are holding it in their hand.
