Uneven Quality - Roll the Dice?

The 2 pr received in July 2026 fell far short of those being replaced. The older ones were amazingly comfortable right away. The new ones, not-so-much, even after a couple inside-out washings on delicate cycle. They are still just OK and a touch scratchy, and not as good as my merino socks. (So way overpriced) Disappointing - especially the non-reply to my concerns. Note: These socks were delivered in early July so may have been the so-called old run. I realize that BWC is at the mercy of the mills used to actually make the socks. Still, BWC appears to have known about the problem & didn't warn. Here’s a quote from the BWC 29 July newsletter which was my first clue about a problem. “Do have a couple of production notes on products, the new Pro-gear boot socks are in, and feel much better than the last run …” Again, BWC gear is normally great but I expected better given prior purchases. Buyer beware.

Absolute must-have socks if you live anywhere with a real winter. These are the ones I rely on when it hits -50°. They wick well, and work great in the summer too!

Own a pair/bought pairs for my sons/duck hunting - AND HIGHLY recommend!

Own a pair. For duck hunting/fly fishing/ANY COLD WATER WADING - these are THE BOMB! End All for cold water wading socks. Recommended them to my Project Healing Waters (Vet Fly Fishing org) group. Friend bought 3x pairs for a March Michigan (blizzard conditions) fly fishing trip. Said it was the first time her feet didn't get cold! Also bought 3x pair for my sons to use for duck hunting. Rave Reviews all across the board!
