D.O.A. Lures 3" C.A.L. Shad Tail

The shad tails are what I use exclusively for chatterbait trailers . I slow roll chatterbaits down deep using the 1/2 oz that I have modified by stripping off the original paint and then adding a titanium double weedguard then powder painting it , adding 3D eyes and a coat of epoxy . The Shad Tail boot tail adds the extra action that is lacking from straight tail add ons when slow rolling . The titanium weedguard allows the chatterbait to go through treetops with surprisingly few hangup . I get vicious bites that often destroy the lure . Also a big plus of the D.O.A. Shad Tail is that they are firm enough where they do not get pulled down the hook shank that cause missed strikes . I always take plenty of shad tails mainly because the chatterbait will probably be my first and last cast . Pearl is my favorite color , then dark colors followed up with chartreuse .
