A Hidden Gem
The first thing I noticed when I opened the box was the unmistakable scent of real, quality, leather. The glove is old school perfection with its time-proven (classic) glove pattern, materials, workmanship, and aesthetic. These gloves are made in small batches, in Mexico, by skilled artisans who obviously take pride in their work. The stitching is consistent, runs parallel with the pattern lines, no gaps, strays, perceptible asymmetries, unintentional wrinkles or creases, and the welted seams should add to the fit, finish, and life of the glove. I appreciate that Necalli uses a simple satin fabric logo instead of compromising the integrity of the leather with an embroidered one. The liner is only 'rough' for those who would be unwise enough to wear them without proper hand wraps, and who does that anyway? The same goes for those who might complain that the hand compartment is too roomy when, again, they're not wearing the gloves with hand wraps on. For me, the fit was perfect, the thumb and fingers allow me to easily make a natural proper fist, the grip bar is substantial, and I'd argue that the wrist support is unrivaled. The padding for these trainers is definitely not pillowy soft, but not brick hard either. It provides a nice pop/feedback/response on the heavy bag, mitts. . . or the unfortunate recipient at the end of your punch(es). The padding is distributed more evenly over the entirety of the glove giving it a more balanced/natural feel. The profile is relatively low to where it can more easily cut/sneak through your sparring partner's guard. My only complaint is about the black (hard to see), flat, slippery, nylon laces with the plastic tips on the ends (which can injure your sparring partner). I prefer the round, 100% cotton, white, Winning-style laces with the frayed ends, but that's just me. That said, it's an easy fix and now I've have them dialed in to perfection. Considering what you get, especially at this price point, you'd be hard pressed to find a better value than these Necalli welted seam, double stitched, training/sparring gloves.

Gloves come to you brand new and need some breaking in. Depending on the size of your hands you may need to use a larger knuckle pad to fill out the hand compartment. Great choice for very experienced boxers, awesome pop and feedback, nice fit and support around the wrist. However, not the best choice if you’re new to the sport and don’t have experience breaking in new gear or wrapping your hands in different ways.

Awesome gloves
I'm loving these gloves a lot. The stitching is all top notch. The padding on the gloves is the classic Casanova/Necalli latex. The fit on these gloves is more snug than old-school Casanova/Necalli, which could run rather wide. If you have longer fingers, there's enough length in the pocket that you don't have to worry about pressure on your finger tips. The wrist support is second-to-none. The inner liner's the canvas that is typical of old school Mexican gloves (and even classic Grant) - little rough at first but softens up as they break in over time. These gloves are already a top spot in my glove rotation.
