It's nice, but the mat has sharp bits in it. I've bought two of these wall scratchers in the past, and this new one is thicker in depth and the wood pieces on the back are thicker as well, but more soft. Cork like. It sticks out farther from the wall. Overall, it's a great scratcher if I wasn't so worried about the quality of the sisal mat fabric. The fabric on the older ones are the same color and look, but they didn't have the really sharp plastic like pieces sticking out.
