Cool looking, can’t figure out how to fit it

This is a nice tongue, looks great. I’m just not sure how to fit it in the crow mouth correctly. If I place it where it sits flat, back in the mouth, it touches my face when I put the mask on and looks too far back in the mouth. If I put it further towards the front it doesn’t sit flat and sticks up weirdly. Prob user error, thanks though.
