Easy to build kit of a historic rocket

I love this kit! This is one of the most historic rockets out there, and almost no one has heard of it. It was the first time a US booster could put a bigger payload into orbit than the Soviets, and it is the rocket JFK saw on his last visit to the Cape. Boyce has done a great job making this accessible. I love their whole 1/100th line; they are perfect complements to the Estes Saturns.

Saturn I SA-5

I was very pleased with the quality of the print and was especially happy with how fine the layer ridges were. Very little sanding and filling will be required. Excellent detail and nice decals. The only thing I would like to have seen is the markings for the fins and the "SA 5" markings on the fuel tanks to have been included. Other than that, it was a very nice kit. I plan to purchase others in the near future.

Just what I wanted.

Quality and detail is excellent. I love the Saturn Series of boosters and this kit has plenty of detail to start but allows the builder to add more detail to represent specific historic vehicles. I am sanding the parts now getting ready for paint. Test fitting proved the parts are right on. This is going to be an epic build.
