I purchased this after reading forums. I couldn't fi d anything that would easily remove my diesel soot on my sailboat exhaust at the stern. I tried everyone's suggestions-NOPE. Finally decided to purchase this as a last ditch effort. It worked! Wipe on,polish off. It even works on the crying weeps from rain soot that happens on sailboat cabintops and below toe rail seep holes. Since I could no longer buy in the USA, I ordered via Canada. Don't care, it works.
