Clack WS1 Water Softener (Standard mesh 10% Aldex crosslink resin)

Rather easy to put in service

WS1 4-button controller, rather easy to program and to put in service with the provided instructions if you are reasonably handy. DIY install needs thinking depending on the space available, such unit needs around 5 to 6 sq. ft of floor and proper drainage could be a challenge depending on where you plan to install it. Plastic plumbing is much easier to use and to route but a properly designed copper plumbing with 45 degrees elbows instead of 90 degrees ones results in less water pressure drop. Myself I went with 3/4 copper tubing with a 1 cu. ft. GAC pre-filter before the softener and very satisfied I did so. The advantage of 45 degrees vs 90 degrees elbow flow is much more noticeable in 3/4 tubing than in 1/2 tubing. Good luck

Great Product

Bought this to go with my new iron filter and replace my old water softener together they work great and the water is unbelievably soft. Very very pleased.

Company was great to deal with when building my system. 1 year later and they are still usually the cheapest to order maintenence parts from. Enjoy doing business with them. Evrything is working great and drastically imporoved our well water at home ta even better than city water.
