Traditional Shooter
I've finally got some of these tuned fairly nicely. As a relatively new lingbow/recurve shooter, I am still in the early stages of learning to shoot and so tuning takes longer. I chose these because I wanted some .204" shafts and their gpi is roughly what I wanted, too. I now have a set of 400 spine, 29.75"c-c, 580grain arrows with around 20% FoC that I can fine tune with their 'backweight' system. They shoot really well from my 45lb longbow. The Backweight threads and tool is interchangeable with GT gear which is great.
One thing I've clicked onto is that adding backweights is not like adding tip weight. The more weight(s) you screw in, the longer the stack becomes and the less they add weight to the front. A very simple fact that I actually find even more useful for balancing things. The effect is more noticeable in .204" of course. The other thing with backweights is that I'm not 100% sure they end up perfectly central inside the shaft, therefore I am aiming for the fewest weights that work. This may be more important using compounds.
Do I like RIP Gamers? Yep, and I keep buying more (I bloody snapped one while on a learning curve removing inserts recently - if you're still tuning, maybe grab some hot melt and fit your own because the glue these guys use is freakin' reliably unbreakable, hahaha!
