I like this translation I got it to compare with The Netzarim Reconstruction of Hebrew Matiytyahu, it is helpful in that regard. In my opinion George Howard used his Western understanding to bear on his translation. The audience of the book is the Jews of that time period. But worth the purchase especially if you don't have a copy of the Hebrew Matiytyahu.
