Cocoknits stitch markers are great

These are in fun colors so there’s always one that will contrast nicely with the yarn for good visibility. They can be used on the needle or as a row marker since they can be opened and removed. If they turn on the needle the skinny end can get a little stuck on larger size needles, but just turn it back and you’re good to go. They slip easily on both metal and bamboo needles. If you have dexterity issues, they might be a little fiddly to open and close because they are small, so play with some before you buy if possible.
