Shapeless and bulky

This dress is pretty but it is clipped on the model to make it look like it has a waistline. However it is bulky and shapeless - it has a tiny curve for the hips but the chest and waist are the same width. It feels like false advertising to have only one photo of the dress. If I had seen the dress hanging on a hanger, I wouldn’t have gotten it. I am even not sure a tailor can make this look good in me because of the way the dress is constructed.
