Barbara Karst Bougainvillea

Beautiful Barbara!

I’ve been searching for some Barbara Karst Bougainvillea to add a “pop” of color to our poolside area. They’ve been a bit hard to find, so I was very happy to discover that I could have them shipped! I ordered 2 of the 6-inch pots (I needed them to climb up a trellis) and they arrived happy and healthy. The packing was done perfectly, and they were wrapped and protected from any bumps during transit. One even already had a bloom! I’m very excited to see these start to grow and bloom throughout the summer months! Gorgeous plants!

The plants came a little stressed from the shipping, but I removed the packing material and added water and kept them few days under indirect sun light. After week and a half I potted them in a big clay pot and they are starting to grow. There are not flowering yet, all the flowers came off after shipping, and I hope they will come soon.

I was a bit concerned when I first took these out of the box because the ends were limp and water did not revive them immediately but after a couple days of watering they were as good as new. Very happy with the purchase.
