THE 1.0 HANG-ON

The stand is light and easy to hang. I would’ve gave it five stars if they would send the second strap to hang it with. In the instructional video they recommend two straps but only send one.

Generally a big fan of everything LWCG does, but they introduced a very annoying flaw in this change if you use double steps. For the good: I had the .75, but with my size 13 boots, I wanted more platform. Mission accomplished. I got the latest platform on the 1.0 vs the older platform on the .75. I like the ability to change the angle on the compact sticks with the multiple grommet holes, so that’s a great change. For the bad: Whoever decided the bolt standoff for the doubles should be enclosed made a big mistake. Absolute PITA. In the previous design, the flat bottom part of the half moon was open and there was just a little more room. By enclosing it, the bolts have to be rotated to a very specific orientation, otherwise they don’t fit. Gotta love going back to all your sticks to try and adjust those bolts to be the perfect angle. Now when you’re trying to get the sticks on there in the dark, if you don’t have them lined up perfectly, they won’t fit quite right. If you don’t catch it before strapping them down, then everything wobbles and clacks when you go to walk out. I don’t know why you had to fix a problem that didn’t exist. If you’re in the market for a 1.0 and use the regular double steps, find a used one from before the 2025 change.
