This thing was nearly impossible to put on the wrist… …and that’s maybe the best compliment I can pay. Real organic materials have fibrous ‘memory,’ and bending the band into a new shape is ’teaching’ it a new status quo. You likely won’t get to the right tightness the first day… it’s that resistant. Trust me: stick with the process. Day Two will be easier. Day three, you’ll get to the right buckle eye for the fitment you like. Wear it for a week like that and the band will ‘remember’ your arm like it's been part of your daily wear forever. Want to accelerate the process a bit? Get it wet once or twice - not immersion/soaking, but wash your hands and let the water run over it. The drying process helps it adapt to a new shape. The first band took about a week; the second band. . . maybe 5 days. After a week, the band had ‘disappeared’ on my arm - I no longer felt it because it has completely conformed to the shape of my wrist. The leather has gained a patina from natural oils, exposure to surfaces, etc. It’s gaining character… so much so, I bought a second band - black, for formal wear - because how good it feels. Weeks in, I’m not budging. This is a very solid addition to your accessory stack. The buckle remains solid with no slip; the mounting lugs snap in firmly and release just as quickly. The Watch already has a presence; Bullstrap gives the Watch character. Well done, Bullstrap!

Good looks but very hard leather for a watch band

First off the looks on this watch band are great but aesthetics are where my praise stops. The band itself is tougher than a new baseball glove, almost stiff as a piece of cardboard. It’s so stiff, it’s very difficult to buckle and it doesn’t bend to the contours if your wrist, which means unless you are using a pry bar, a closed watch strap will leave a gap between your wrist and your Apple watch sensor. It’s possible after months of use this will change but in the first couple of weeks I have not seen any real change yet. Would give a 5/5 if it was softer.
