I had to unlearn, then to re-learn to discover the beauty of it.

When I bought my Mach 1 in 2022 I really enjoyed the stiffness of the manual gear stick that matched the heavy clutch feel. I thought that this is one of those things that should remain like that forever. But then I realized I am kind of struggling with the clutch pedal at times, feeling as if I'm a complete newbie driving the manual. So for 2 years I really learned to work well with the stock spring setup. Installing the Steeda spring was a job for 5 minutes done by hand, no tools needed and I jumped into testing the car right away. At first it felt too light to my taste, but then I realized my shifts are quicker and more precise, at the same time they don't require struggling with the pedal. After a couple of days driving with the Steeda spring, I wish I had it changed earlier, as the car is much more pleasant to drive now, shifts are very consistent and do not require a lot of effort and precision where to release the clutch. When the clutch grips feels very sharp now and is much more distinguished, and the overall feel is very consistent. I still would love it to be a little bit stiffer, but all in all, I kind of love the change it made to the driving experience.
