1-1/4" by 3" Wood Rubber Stamp

[context] I like this company and wouldn't have left a review if I didn't think you should use them, but maybe just stick to really chunky fonts with wide spacing between lines or it will be blotchy and/or uneven. I ordered this for stamping my address on envelopes. It's good, but not great. I'm hoping that I just need to break it in or cut the grooves more deeply. I've been printing and stamping for a while, and this is the first time I've been a little bummed out by a stamp - considered returning it, but I think maybe I can fix it?
