New bow
I am just beginning to learn viola and decided this tax season I would buy 3 new bows seeing that I can't just test bows here. And the carbon fiber and the green sandalwood Holstein were the easiest to pick up and use but in the end the Holstein is the one i added to my case. I definitely like it slot.

Good bow and great price
Second viola bow I've bought from Fiddlershop, the other being the carbon fiber viola bow, 5th bow overall from them. So I am a fan as a value shopper. I am primarily a violinist, but needed a better viola bow since I started playing some viola in an orchestra. This is the first viola bow that makes me feel like I'm playing a violin. Light, smooth bow changes, and sounds pretty good. I think it should be adequate enough for a student to finish all 9 Suzuki Viola books, so good to intermediate level IMHO. I like it so much I'm afraid I have to give it to my son, who's finishing book 8 and isn't playing the fast string crossings as cleanly as I'd like with the carbon fiber bow...

Great bow!
I picked this bow as a replacement for an old wooden bow that has been repaired one too many times. I typically play with carbon fiber bows and my usual bow is a Codabow Diamond NX, which is of course a lot different to this one. Still, I like to mix it up now and then, so decided to experiment with this green sandalwood bow. I really like it! It's got good weight, maybe slightly light but still feels strong, is well balanced and has a nice sweet sound. It makes me want to try out the yellow sandalwood as well, though for my purposes this is a great wooden bow to add variety to my case. For the price I think it's a great option for a wood bow!
