It's a perfect weight for layering, not too thin, and substantial enough to wear on its own if desired. Fits true to size. The neck isn't too tight, but stays put and doesn't droop like some turtlenecks after an hour or two of wear. High quality knit, soft and comfortable.

Just what I wanted

I ordered this because I wanted a few nice pieces for daily wear in the winter. The good reviews I read sounded really good, but the ones with problems like the fabric stretching a lot or coming unraveled were concerning considering the price. I decided to go ahead and try one despite some of the bad reviews and I am really glad I did. My experience is that I like the fit (medium and I am 5’3” and 150 lbs) but I maybe could have downsized to a small. It seems well made and I find it very soft. I have washed it twice now (cold water wash and mid setting on tumble dry) and it came out beautifully. It did not stretch at all with the laundering as one person mentioned. It comes out of the dryer looking pretty much as it did when it arrived (maybe looks a little tighter, but definitely is not). It fit exactly the same after washing/drying. It is now probably my favorite piece to wear for cold/cool weather. Despite the fact that it is a thin sweater (not thick at all…not advertised as thick), I found it very comfortable as far as warmth. You’d definitely want a coat on a cold winter day outside, but I wound not expect anything else. I really love it.
