Kala Satin Mahogany Concert Ukulele

Not bad, not brilliant

I usually play guitar, but decided to try ukulele because I’m on a working holiday and move frequently so it seemed the easier option. I chose the kala satin mahogany concert uke because it had good reviews and concert size was the biggest I could easily carry on planes. The sound is a little shallow and tinny and disappointing, not the quality I was hoping but maybe that was me being naive about what to expect. Mine doesn’t stay in tune very well, not sure is that a problem unique to the instrument I received or to these ukes in general. Aside from that, I received it on time and in good condition. The chord chart is handy, the soft case seems good, the strap is helpful, the tuner is of poor quality, and the rest of the additions I haven’t used. It’s a cute starter instrument but I wouldn’t spend as much on it again.
