Excellent uke, but just ok customer service

The customer service team were super nice and upgraded me to a nicer uke which plays beautifully, when mine arrived damaged. So fantastic of them and incredibly kind. This was above and beyond anything I could've imaginesd. It was the customer experience that let me down. I had questions about the included strap and the damaged uke - there was a lot of back and forth (24 emails!) and it took about a couple of days each time for a response (sometimes 4 days, sometimes 1, had to follow up) . It was nice that different people helped out but it led to a bit of confusion and I had to repeat myself a few times, even with the same person. It was also inconsistent - one person told me a new strap would be installed with the new uke, and then it didn't show up and I had to ask why and another person would tell me that they don't do that because it could damage the uke. Sometimes I'd send two emails and only the second would be responded to. It did feel like my messages weren't being read - I got the sent the same video twice despite telling them that it wasn't fitting. In the end I just gave up and to this day I don't use the strap (which was one of the reasons I bought from Ukulelemate). I would still buy from you again as the upgrade was just so kind of you, and I understand that the holidays are a busy period, and the team did seem to really want to help.
