I had been looking for a solution on my 2007 Targa to keep the interior cool and finally saw the half cover from North American Custom Covers. While designed for the cabriolet, it has worked out to be exactly what I was looking for! Quality is fantastic!

Quality 1/2 cover for Porsche 996

Purchased this for my 2002 Porsche 996 C2 Coupe. I have a full Porsche tailored cover for storms/hurricanes but wanted a daily use cover for protecting the interior from the brutal sun here in Key West and something I could easily & quickly take off and put back on. There were no reviews but figured at this price, what the hell. This is perfect. Thick/heavy material. Porsche quality. Cut like they came and measured my car. Has magnets around the edges that keep it in place. I believe it is really cut for a Cab but it still works well. If I had my druthers, they'd add a couple of inches front and back. Side to side is perfect. Overall, it is really hard to complain. If you are looking for a 1/2 cover for your 996, this is the one you want.
