The Handle Makes the Difference

The Huarache is a standout for me, especially because of its exceptionally long handle. It gives me noticeably better reach and makes two-handed backhands feel incredibly natural and powerful. If you rely heavily on your 2HBH, this paddle deserves a serious look. My setup: Wilson Pro Overgrip with 3g of weight at both 4 and 8 o’clock. That little bit of added weight gives me the stability I want without sacrificing the maneuverability. For me, the combination of the long handle, reach, and two-handed backhand feel is what really sets the Huarache apart.

Looks good, feels great, plays fantastic. Adding 4 grams strip of lead or tungsten tape at the 3 and 9 positions enlarges the sweet down the paddle and also makes the paddle feel more balanced in the hands for quick reactions at the kitchen.
