Update: I was able to get the patchouli smell off the soap bar by airing it out outside for 6 hours. The soap is fine, but this product shouldn't be labeled as unscented. It smells very strongly of patchouli and essential oils. Maybe fragrances weren't added directly, but the packaging, bar and box all have a strong fragrance. I'm hopeful the fragrance comes off with the first use of the bar. But, my nostrils and eyes are burning from the heavy patchouli smell and my hands have also picked up the smell from just handling the bars. A lot of people need unscented products due to medical issues, such as allergies and scent sensitivity. Essential oils are very common irritants for those with said conditions. When I purchase an unscented product, I expect it to not have any fragrances when I open it. Please be more careful with how you store and pack your products. I don't like leaving negative reviews for small businesses, but other customers with health conditions needed to be warned.
