Horrid Speaker

Sounds worse than the original one with way less volume. Not sure if I got a back one but retro modding doesn’t offer refunds so I’m not willing to try again. When installed with the amp they reccomend it was horrid and has so much loud scratching feedback that it was unusable and I had to just remove it. Again, no refunds offered. Wouldn’t recommend this speaker over OEM, just take out the OEM and clean it.

Great sound, mostly easy install

This product had some extra long wire wires to accommodate different gameboy versions. I had to cut the wires to better fit my GBA. Soldering and desoldering is a must. Now I have a GBA ready to gift that LOOKS and SOUNDS great! I used these tools to make easy work of my restoration project. -wire cutter -wire stripper -Precision screwdriver set -soldering iron -desoldering pump -kapton tape -soldering resin

Great Replacement Speaker

Bought this speaker to replace the broken one in my GBC. Once you figure out how it fits in the housing differently than the original, you're good to cut the wires and solder to the board. Works great!
