LAMY peridot - 30ml Bottled Ink

Nice ink with lots of shading

I picked this ink for my brand new LAMY AL-star "Sage". It's a nice green, but it shows lots of shading and, to me, that is kind of distracting. This is evident even with the Fine nib I'm using. I guess it'd be even more noticeable with a Medium nib. If you love lots of shading, this may be great for you! If you're like me and prefer a more nuanced shading, I'd suggest looking elsewhere. Overall, it's a nice ink, with a catch.

Great deep yet vibrant green

Was the first green I received in a sample ages ago. I finally bought a bottle. Best way to describe the color is Slytherin House green. Dark but not devoid of color, almost forest but a slightly lighter forest. I've noticed it does run a bit wetter than LAMY beryl ink. But I use a fine nib so I actually like it. It makes the nib glide a bit better.

Great color, well behaved

I like the dark green inks aecond after the many blue shades. This one, together with Diamine’s “Dark Forest” are favorites. “Peridot” has a little less yellow making it a tad cooler. With these two I don’t need to order the (currently unavailable) R&K “Deep Pine Forest.” And that makes me happy because I really like these two.
