Death trap dress

The idea of this dress is super cute. However, the zippers on them suck. The dress size would have been fine. It wasn’t like the dress was tight and the zipper wasn’t catching on the fabric but the zipper itself is just terrible. I got stuck trying on the dress. I could reach the zipper just fine. The zipper just seriously sucks. I had to turn the dress around and put my arms through the holes and try to zip it with the dress on backwards and it still wouldn’t budge. I couldn’t get it to go up or down. It wasn’t where any seam was to explain the weird jamming. There was nothing stuck it in. I actually thought I was going to have to cut the dress just to get it off so I returned it. I kept a different white dress, but noticed that the zipper was also finicky but not to the same degree. I am having to take that one to a seamstress to get a news for put in. When I tried to return the dress they wanted photos but obviously, I was not willing to send photos without a bra on with the dress halfway on so I had to pay the shipping to return a defective product. Giving it to stars just because I do think the quality of the fabric is nice.

Sizing off

I am a standard UK 6 - only sometimes an 8 - in shops like Zara, Reformation, house of CB, I am an XS. I always size up in ODDMUSE and find the sizing small. This dress was too baggy and too much fabric on the waist, almost too long. And I am not short, at 5'6.

So so happy with this dress. It fits perfectly and creates a gorgeous silhouette. Looks and feels expensive.
