Gorgeous Dress!

I made this Special Occasion dress with an embellished overlay on Satin like fabric. I used a 1" horse hair braid and added a sash. It was absolutely gorgeous. The instructions were very on point and even the zipper instructions were very clear. I was proud of my work! Thank you for a great pattern.

Great, even for a beginner

I was a little nervous as I am new to sewing, bit i really needn't have been. The instructions were clear, with great photos and step-by-step guidance. Even little notes to remind and clarify certain things, i.e. that 2 layers were being sewn, not just the one, and saying the main fabric was now sandwiched between the lining and the bodice. These extras really helped my confidence. My dress turned out lovely! Will definitely use again

The dress design is very cute and is going to make a lovely flower girl dress for my great-niece, made from a sheer voile with a fine cotton broadcloth underneath. My only complaint is about the exposed zipper. Luckily I read the instructions through and noticed that detail, so I added some to the back seam allowance so I can put in a proper centered zipper covered by the seam allowance. I also plan to attach the bodice lining to the skirt separately from the main fabric by hand to cover the waist seam, and will most likely do french seams on the voile overlay skirt I am using.
