Good knee support
Only used so far for a few hours at the snow centre. No issues with my knees which have been showing signs of wear for a few years. The support seems as good as that provided by various other supports I've used over the last 20 years. I've now invested in the hip protectors, which fit neatly into the pockets on the gen 2, and these are much less intrusive than the impact shorts I've tried before. Not tested them yet and I hope not to 😂

I had reservations... but all good.
I've been skiing for as long as I can remember, and with half a century under my ever-lengthening belt and knees that now creak like Hogwarts floorboards I thought I'd give these a try... Can't deny I was sceptical, and the price seemed pretty lofty for a base layer, too, but when you're paying over £10+ for an apres beer in resort and dropping many times that at lunch, any rational financial considerations go out the window. Thought then, why not give it a go to make the old legs feel better than usual. Skiing's never been cheap... but always cheerful. Honestly, they seem to work, too, over 4 days of skiing I had no issues with sore legs, aching knees etc, which is a good thing. I do admit, as I'm skiing with the kids I'm not tearing about the steep stuff as much and for as long as I might have a few years back - though as they improve/age that'll change. All told, then, worth the investment, but if I was to give some feedback I'd've liked the option to have them without the pockets for the protection (I'm padded enough) and, as I ski with non-insulated shell salopettes, the choice of warmer set for colder days would be good addition. Happy to do some testing of these should Imbrace need a volunteer...

Give them a go!
This was a case of 'in for a penny, in for a pound'. Longstanding knee issues and a recent lower back injury mean I no longer really trust my body and was looking for anything that might help me enjoy a family skiing holiday with friends. I don't know if it's science or sentiment but the support around knees, hips and lower back certainly felt good. I would recommend them to anyone looking for the little bit of extra something - scientific or psychological.
