FNIRSI LC1020E High Precision LCR Meter

Great value for the money

Received the LCR meter a few days after pre-prdering, so much earlier than expected. At first glance, this piece of equipment feels a bit light, but it looks like it has just enough weight to stay in its place during use. Comes with Kelvin clips. Initially I thought these were fake because these appear to connect with only three contacts into the meter, but the contacts are double-sided. I compared the results of measurements with this meter with the results of the Elektor precision LCR meter and there are differences up to 10% for capacitors and more for inductors. However, both devices are uncalibrated, so this doesn't say much. For resistors (actually: resistance measurements), the differences are much smaller. For hobbyists good enough fos quickly testing, verifying printed values or sorting the pile of scrap parts. Bonus is the USB rechargeable battery.

Nice pice of test equipment. The biggest problem is the loss of the de minimis exemption which added about $50 to the purchase. I would buy from Elektor again except for this.
