Firefighter Leather Chin Straps – Fire Service Edition

Chinstraps are good. Ordered 2. One stitched and one not stitched. Both going on a ben 2/3 helmet. The stitched chinstrap was noticeably wider and thicker. Neither strap fit the helmet. The non stitched chinstrap needed to be thinned with a knife to fit through the loops on the helmet, but it worked. The stitched one was a fight. Took a lot of trimming and thinning to make it fit. Even had to use a file to widen the mounts on the helmet. With it being a ben 2/3 style helmet, the old chinstrap had to be cut off (researched it and couldnt find any other way) so i had to make the leather ones work. Overall theyre pretty decent. Not sure if the inconsistency in size is intenional due to the stitching or not. Either way i made it work. I also have a printed radio strap from box 31, and i love it.

Not as long as I thought it would be.
