Redken Volume Injection Shampoo - works well
I had completely given up hoping Redken would ever start producing body/volume shampoo/conditioner again, but apparently they did, quite some time after I quit looking, way, way back when, lol. However, I just happened to do a recent search for volume/body shampoos after the cheap stuff, I have been using for some time now, became temporarily unavailable. It was then that I discovered Redken apparently was manufacturing a relatively new volume/body shampoo and conditioner. After going over several reviews of the new products I decided to give the Volume Injection shampoo a chance. After a bit of price comparisons I found that Image Beauty had the best price and shipping deals. I ordered both the large and small sizes of the Volume Injection shampoo in hopes that I could refill the small bottle from the large one, as the shampoo was used. As it turns out, Redken no longer designs their small bottles for ease of reuse, but the top can be snapped off, with some effort, and then reattached after refilling the bottle from the larger one. This is a ridiculous issue that should not exist as keeping and using the large bottle in a shower scenario simply is not feasable in most situations. That issue aside, Image Beauty was very prompt with their shipping and provided tracking as well, which is always appreciated. As for the Volume Injection shampoo itself, I wanted to use it at least a few times before writing a review on it. After now having done so I am happy to state that I am quite happy with it. FYI: I am using the Volume Injection shampoo in conjunction with a really old highly rated Redken volume/body conditioner that I have hoarded over time, lol. The combination works quite well, and produces volume/body in a way that the cheaper shampoo, and many others, do not. The combination appears to actually separate the individual hairs quite a bit more leaving them with a quite fine feel, and yet producing extra body at the same time through that separation. The cheaper volume shampoo, and many not so cheap ones that I have also tried, usually produces volume by making the hair itself seem somewhat thicker and coarser. I much prefer the method that the Redken provides. Oh, and for those that have not been as happy with your results, make sure that you do use a matching volume/body conditioner as well, as I have found that using a volume/body shampoo alone does not work nearly as well. FYI: I don't use the Redken conditioner in the manner that is normally suggested, that is, apply immediately after rinsing out shampoo, massage conditioner into hair, and then rinse out. I was given a tip from a hair stylist a while back suggesting that I apply the conditioner to my damp hair, after showering, and just before blow drying it (no rinsing out). This allows the conditioner to act as a slight styling additive, and helps provide volume as well. This method actually works much better for me than applying it in the shower and then rinsing it out. For whatever reason my older hair, lol, no loner maintained its style anymore after blow drying, when using the conditioner in the normal manner, even though it had always done so before. The newer method now works exactly as the normal original method had, and leaves my hair in great shape, that lasts multiple days if needed. That said, I'll be ordering the new Volume Injection conditioner as soon as the old stuff runs out, now that I know the shampoo version works so well. I just hope Redken doesn't stop producing a volume/body shampoo and conditioner again, like they did for quite a while many years back. I highly recommend the Redken Volume Injecting shampoo, and Beauty Image. Thanks for the great price and fast delivery. Oh, and the Amazon payment system was a nice option as well. I will be returning to Image Beauty for future orders.

Gets the scalp very clean.
BlowoutProfessor on YouTube says this (and the matching conditioner) are his favorites for fine and normal, medium hair. He has good videos on application, and it's crucial to learn how to apply shampoo and scrub. This one is a little more drying and one of the sulfates Paula Begoun doesn't recommend, as too harsh. However, if you learn how to apply the shampoo only and directly to your scalp not your hair (let the suds down on your hair length, never the shampoo) and focus on shampooing your scalp not your hair, it works very well and gives a good cleanse. It gives a better cleanse than Olaplex Clarifying shampoo (which I also love). But it is so cleansing it's clarifying and does leave my hair dryer than others such as my other favorites Olaplex Clarifying, The Ordinary's shampoo. I alternate with less harsh shampoos and use this one as my clarifying shampoo. It's pretty strong, so be sure to rinse well. It is scented but the scent is not too heavy or harsh.
