Gaia Kimono Maritime

The kimono dress is beautiful overall, and the quality of both the fabric and the craftsmanship is very good. However, I’m 165 cm tall and usually wear a size S–M, and for me the dress was simply too long and a bit too oversized. I think it would be wonderful if there were an XS–S option, as it would fit petite women much better. I also think the fabric could feel even more luxurious if it were made from a silk-viscose blend instead of only viscose. Another idea would be to make the kimono slightly shorter and offer matching trousers as part of the collection. I also think a fringed scarf would be a beautiful addition to the set and would complete the look perfectly. The only thing that disappointed me was the return process. Since there isn’t a physical store in Amsterdam where I could try it on, I ended up paying around €30 in shipping costs for the delivery and the return. If there were a local store, I would have much preferred to visit and try it on in person.

The dress is pretty, but it is definitely not worth the price. Although it is marketed as flattering for all body types, it did not work for my recently postpartum body at all. The fabric is stiff and thick; while some may see the fact that it doesn’t cling to the body as an advantage, I found it very uncomfortable to wear. The only reason I didn’t return it is that I wasn’t home when the package arrived, and by the time I got back, the 14-day return window had already passed. I bought it to wear to my daughter’s christening, but instead it has been hanging in my closet ever since. Unfortunately, I consider it an expensive disappointment.

La robe est très belle le seul bémol est le décolleté qui est un peu enfermé où j’ai l’impression qu’il faut prendre une très grande taille pour qu’il soit plus plongeant ! Mais elle est très chic et tombe très bien
