Good, drinkable, pint

I was a little worried about the Simply Stout during fermentation because it created a very high krausen and seemed to stall in fermenting initially. I used a beer enhancer this time, which was new to me, so I put it down to that, but I did worry I was going to lose the batch. I was wrong to worry. Not only did it finish well, but it also bottled almost clear and soon cleared up and was actually drinkable early. I always do a small taster test at about 7 - 8 days after bottling just to get an idea of how long there is left until it's ready. Big surprise here. It was already drinkable. So a couple of days later I tried again and it's surprisingly good already. I will always use the beer enhancer from now on. Conditioned in bottles and mini-kegs. A bit of a problem with heavy foam from the mini-keg conditioned stuff maybe, but otherwise, perfect. Genuinely good. OK, maybe not an award winner, but as a glugging in front of the TV, easy drinking stout, this is perfect.
