Isotope achieved this shimmering, frozen effect by torturing Brazilian amethyst until it became translucent enough to reveal the mechanical depths below. The blued hands sweep over icicle indices with a stark, freezing precision. It is less a traditional timepiece and more a highly functional art piece—a wearable monument to the Mer de Glace.
