Great altimeter
I wear it around my neck on hikes and keep it on the dash during backwoods drives. I finally know the current elevation! The only downside is that I have to wear reading glasses to see the numbers because they are really small. I can live with that.

Accurate but...
The altimeter mechanism works as expected. The leather case does not fit well (cheap quality). The altimeter rotating wheel does not have interval stops (clicks) thus, the calibration could be lost without noticing it. The plastic main case should have some type of external reference line/feature to be aligned with the rotating wheel starting altitude. It looks like the 203 model is an improved version. I should have bought the 203.

No need batteries
I frequently go to the high mountain ranges in southwestern and northwestern China and reach 5000 - 6000 meter altitute. I need a good and reliable altimeter. The previous one is a contemporary digit with batteries. It does not work well in very cold temporature. I decided to go back to trandition of mechanic. I have postponed three trips due to the pandemics. I am confident the Altimeter 202 will serves me well.
