Whispering Smith Hits London Limited Collector's Edition

Fantastic restoration (and a pretty good film, too) of an early 50's Hammer noir thriller, with a pretty flawless picture, with both the UK version and the slightly shorter US version. The storyline is good, although the "twist" is pretty easy to work out fairly early on, and it moves at a good pace. Good extras on the discs and a great book to accompany this special edition release. It is pricey, but it is great to see these early Hammer thrillers which became overshaddowed by their later, more well known horror & fantasy output.
