Terranol - Symrise

Excellent for Mineral Salt Accords

I am using Terranol in a salt accord, where it adds the damp mineral character that makes the effect feel natural rather than simply aquatic. In small amounts, it suggests wet stone, moss, roots, and a rocky shoreline, while helping connect the marine notes to vetiver, woods, and ambergris materials. What I find most useful is that Terranol does not create a literal salt smell on its own. Instead, it provides the environment around the salt: moisture absorbed into stone, shaded tide pools, and wet coastal vegetation. It can also provide a subtle bridge into tropical flowers, giving jasmine, plumeria, or ylang-ylang a humid green foundation and making them feel more naturally integrated into a coastal setting. It is persistent and highly effective at low dosage, too much and can become earthy.
