CX178

Great addition to the lineup

I've got several pairs of the CX201 shoes which are awesome but can get somewhat cold to wear in winter. I've tried CX238 in extra wide but found the toe box too restrictive and therefore uncomfortable for my size 48 flat feet. The new CX178 are everything I was hoping for in terms of fit and comfort, my only complaint is that this lower spec shoe is the only model available in the new Sport Comfort last. I wish it had the lighter, stiffer carbon sole and leather uppers.

I'm Gonna Have to Ride A Lot Now!

I had a pair of wide Lakes about 20 years ago, and have had some other brands since. Getting older made cycling a bit uncomfortable especially my feet. Used the size guide and also reached out to Lake for advice. Got the shoes, cleated them up and PERFECT. Width is great. I have flat feet and the arch was well placed. NO HOT SPOTS for the first time in a very long time. Highly recommend and the price is great.

Definitely the widest shoe I've ever seen! I do wish it had a double boa and a carbon sole, but the price is certainly right. So far So good!
