Whistler (Iron Bark)

Redbacks for the win!!

I’ve had my Whistlers in Iron Bark for about two weeks now. I’ve worn them about six times now, and they feel amazing!! My girlfriend just got Blundstones, and she likes them, but they have given her a blister in her heel. My Redbacks were super comfortable right out of the box, and they have treated me very well so far. I have nothing to complain about. I ordered my usual size 10 US, and with a thin sock, they’re a little roomy, but with some thicker wool socks on, they fit perfect! I can’t recommend these over Blundstones enough! They look just as good if not better than Blundstones, they are more comfortable, cheaper, and made in Australia! Highly recommend!

I really wanted to like these boots. I had a really hard time figuring out sizing, which is a shame. I ordered three different sizes, what would be my usual boot size (UK 7) was huge, mostly in length. I reordered size down, I thought I was getting a 6.5 but my mistake was a 6, returned immediately and even the 6.5 was too small. I have a high instep, and after walking around the house for a bit, the toe box and top were just too tight (6.5 UK). Maybe it’s the style or toe box shape but the Whistler just didn’t work for me. The iron bark is a beautiful color! Maybe in the future I’ll try again with a different work boot.
