Excellent, with one small workable issue
I recently purchased one of your feeding (dopamine) boxes, and I wanted to say how impressed I am with the overall quality. The materials feel excellent, and the workmanship is first-class. It’s clearly a well-thought-out, durable product, and I’m very happy with it.
I’m currently in the process of transitioning my dog onto the box, and that’s going well. The only small issue I encountered was the depth of the box. For my Border Collie (a medium-sized dog), he could not reach the bottom. I can see it being absolutely ideal for larger breeds like German Shepherds, Belgian Malinois, or Dobermans.
That said, it was easy enough to solve. I used 20mm EVA foam sheets, available from Amazon.co.uk, cut to size and layered inside the box to raise the floor. If cut accurately, they fit snugly so no food falls between the inserts and the box walls. The foam is quite firm, and it also produces a clear sound when a piece of kibble is dropped in, which helps the dog locate it.
If I could suggest one improvement, it would be to consider offering two or three insert options to adjust the depth. This would make the box more versatile and suitable for a wider range of breeds, such as Border Collies, Cocker Spaniels, Labradors, and others.
Overall, I’m very pleased with the purchase. Thank you for producing such a high-quality training tool, as I have experienced with all the products I have bought from you—it’s clearly been made with care and attention to detail.
