Pro-Tech TR-3 Integrity Tan – the knife that started my Pro-Tech addiction

The Pro-Tech TR-3 Integrity Tan has become my daily off-duty knife, and after spending time with it I can safely say that I am extremely pleased with it. What I particularly like about the Integrity is the combination of Pro-Tech’s excellent build quality, precise machining and the clean, purposeful TR-3 design. The Tan finish gives it a slightly understated character that works perfectly for everyday carry without making the knife feel ordinary. I was also lucky enough to get hold of a beautiful vintage brown leather slip that fits the TR-3 extremely well. Together with my TOPS TAC-Rake moustache comb in its leather sheath, it makes a fantastic little off-duty EDC combination. The leather and the Tan finish complement each other almost perfectly. There is, however, one problem with the TR-3 Integrity: it gave me the Pro-Tech bug. The collection quickly grew from this first TR-3 Integrity Tan to a TR-3 Integrity Blue Relic, followed by a Mordax Nexus Black in MagnaCut and a Malibu Del Fuego in MagnaCut. So what started with one knife has turned into a genuine appreciation for Pro-Tech. Across the different models, the machining, action, materials and overall attention to detail have impressed me enormously. The TR-3 Integrity Tan remains special because it was the one that started it all – and it is still the Pro-Tech I carry as my daily off-duty knife. Highly recommended. I am very pleased with both the knife and the Pro-Tech brand as a whole.
