Enjoyable look at the beginning of a horsey life

I enjoyed this book a lot. Janet's determination to make a life working with horses led to her first job, which started off with a possible disaster but then became just hard and chaotic. The other characters are well drawn and (mostly) engaging and so are the various horses and ponies. Another delightful book from Diana Pullein-Thompson!
